Assalamualaikum W.B.T and hello! I am Daniel and this is my entry number 1. For this week, I am going to share a little bit about myself and also my expectation for this course this semester.
Firstly, my name is Daniel Adam Amri Bin Khairul Anuar. I am 20 years old. I was born in Shah Alam, Selangor but when I was 6, I moved to Segamat, Johor and currently staying there. I am a first-year student, studying TESL at UITM Puncak Alam and was an alumnus of Pusat Asasi UITM Dengkil. A little bit about myself, I see myself as an easy-going person. I often make decisions calmly and rarely get bothered by trivial things. I believe we should enjoy our life and should not be too serious about everything. However, I have my own ideology and way of doing things, especially when it comes to getting my work done. Academically, I often make decisions professionally because I treat my work as something really important. Other than that, I am also a huge fan of hip-hop. I have been listening to rap songs ever since I was 11 and got hooked instantly. I am also fortunate enough to have a group of friends that share the same interest with me and we often have a 'freestyle' session together and even record our own songs. Last but not least, I am a big fan of the anime 'One Piece'.
For this semester, there are some things that I expect learning this course. First things first, as the focus of this subject is on technologies, I expect to have a decent knowledge of technologies especially when it comes to education. To be able to become a good educator in the future, I must first have good knowledge of IT as technologies are evolving day by day. My expectation is to master the basic knowledge of certain software such as Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Mastering these kinds of software doesn't just help me to prepare as an educator in the future, but it will also help me to complete my work as a student. Secondly, my other expectation is to gain new knowledge on online learning. As for now, I already have 2 years of experience learning online but I wanted to know more about it. Through this course, I believe I can learn more and get to differentiate between online learning and physical class.
